It looks like that extra 400 calories a day is helping. His face and arms look chunkier

Another Step Completed!

It was 3 weeks today since we left Screech.

We now know that our second stage docs were accepted at DHS on Wednesday. They cashed (without issue) the check that they said was not correct a week ago.

The papers now go to Officer "X" hopefully for speedy processing--

The Goods Have Arrived

All the stage 2 paperwork is back in Texas. Please pray that the intake person gets it in and to Officer X. ASAP

ARRRGH

Our application came back today ---DENIED!

part our fault, part the feds

They said we did not include a check---duh they scanned it in -it was there--- in the right amount--- in the right color ink-- made out to the right people with our case number attached

but shame on us-- we missed one of the several signature pages--- Never done that before--- no excuse-- we screwed up.

We tried to call "Officer X" (We have heard the horror stories about her, but she was great with round one for us) but got her voice mail. No call back today-- so we decided to re submit anyway

50 bucks to get it back to Texas in one day--- worth every penny (and so much more) if we can get the boys home one day faster--- we MUST be more careful moving forward---Both boys (especially Derrik) cannot afford more mistakes.

Now The Hard Part...

...waiting and waiting...

Our stuff got to Texas USCIS last week. I've been checking every few hours to see if they have cashed the check yet-- they have not. The FBI has and we should have our prints this week to send off for apostille.

Now back to the task at hand---waiting and waiting and waiting

One Week Since Our Last Visit

It is hard to believe, but it's been a week since we last saw Martin and 2 weeks since we held Derrik.

All of our stage 2 paper work should be in Texas by now--- other than that-- no news...

We wait... our new boys wait....

Delta--- Gotta love it

Still no bags.

I got a call from Delta saying that my bags arrived last night in Daytona Beach, FL. That is great except they were supposed to arrive in DAYTON, OH-- I called to try to let them know of the error but the auto attendant said that due to the high call volume they could not connect me--- Gee I wonder why?!?!
