Okay.... So International tracking is not quite as good as domestic.
Our stuff got to EE on Tuesday.
Here is to hoping 2 weeks to xlate, 3 weeks for approval so we travel first week of June.
It's good to have dreams.

Calling Paris...---...
Just a quick update
Our stuff has been sitting in Paris for the past day and a bit. Customs? Slow truck to EE? Dunno Fedex only says package left Paris yesterday at 1am local time.

Holy Saturday Update
It has been a busy and wonderful few days--
Our wedding anniversary was Friday and we had a wonderful stay at the local Casino/Resort/Spa-- ahhhhhhh-- what a nice break! Back to reality--
All the papers are done----- Notarized? YES! Authenticated? YES.. after a 6 hour trip to Columbus are they apostilled---YES!
As I write, the papers have just left Paris on their way to our EE Home!--- Soon please-- soon
Joey and I spent the evening looking at pictures from his adoption 4 years ago.. he was such a little dude and now he is a "mini-man"... Hard to believe the little guy who wanted to "tuta" around the orphanage grounds and pick cherries with mama carrying him is the same kid that speaks non-stop and wishes to run the entire family---- (he is trying really hard to read cuz he wants to get his drivers license!)
Mary knows better of the travel timeline, but I'm really hoping that we can get to EE in late May for our first trip--

things that make you go Hummmmmmmmmmm
We have our approval to adopt from the US--YAY---
We have a licensed social worker saying we are fit to adopt (yay)
But OUR country in EE needs a psychiatrist to sign off that we are mentally "fit" to adopt.
We called our insurance company (since we do not usually see a mental heath specialist) and they told us it is impossible to get a psych appointment. We could meet with a social worker or a psychologist but that DRs of Psych only write Meds in the US and do not do evals.. argh
after days of phone calls I found a couple of folks that would meet us-- IN JUNE---
anyone with any ideas?

My First Post
I have been holding off on this-- partly because I have been really busy and partly because I was not totally convinced that this was gonna happen.
Well-- USCIS Approval was today so it looks like we are ON!
Some background:
I am a radio guy geek-- I've been a DJ, Program Director, and VP of programming since I was a pup.
My wife and I first adopted from EE back in 2004-- again in 2007-- and one more time in 2009. Each adoption has been a wonderful experience and we are looking to complete our family with the adoption of Screech and Henry this year.
